Warning System:
1. First offense. Warning from staff via post or PM. No penalty.
2. Second offense. 40 % warning.
3. Third offense. 70% warning + unable to make posts for predetermined time. (case sensitive)
4. Forth offense. 100% warning + temporary ban or permanent ban.
This is the standard scale, but it may vary providing the severity of the offense. If it's fairly minor, a warning system might not be implemented, or implemented on smaller intervals. However, if the offense affects the conductivity of the board or the contentment of its members, warnings may be increased.
All warnings will be supplemented with a PM by staff explaining the offense and reason for punishment. No discussion about the staff's decisions regarding punishment are permitted on the board itself.

The Basics:
- First off please respect all administrators and site staff, as well as you're fellow Capricans (members ;D). We want your time here to be pleasantly spent and (most important of all) a fun experience. Our goal is to create interesting, well-developed RPs that we all can enjoy. Therefore, please cooperate and listen to the staff. In addition, please respect your fellow members. If you have any problems with a member, please settle it via pm, and if needed contact your admins to help settle any ongoing problems.
- Please keep the chat box free of excessive profanity and drama. It is a means of communicating with other members of the site and not a place to start fights or advertise.
- Spamming is strictly prohibited. No advertising anywhere except the appropriate advertising board (Coming Soon)

The Role-Playing Rules:
- To begin, fill out a character application by making a thread for your character in the "Character Registration" thread. You must not post until your application is accepted. You can also read the admins applications as examples for what we're looking for Accepted Character Applications
By the way, you need a password for the Registration section. Read on and you'll see what it is.
- If you post an application and do not finish, you can label it as "WIP" (Work in Progress) in the title or description.
- Mary Sues/Gary Stus are prohibited.
Details on what a Mary Sue is
Only Original Characters will be accepted. Though we are in a world created by the Producers of both "Battlestar Galactica" and "Caprica" only original characters will be accepted. Characters from either series will not be accepted. This Dose extend to avatar images or signature images. - Multiple Characters: Members many have multiple characters, to help move along stories and RPs. In order to to have you second character approved you must have at a minimum of 50 posts with your first character, and for a third character you must have 25 posts on your second character. All characters must have their own Profile and must be accepted by the staff before you can begin posting as that character.
- Rating has been changed: Due to Proboards Terms of service the rating has been changed. Mature content is no longer allowed on the boards, and if any content is posted that dose not meet the Proboards TOS, the content will be removed. This Rule is non negotiable. (07-09-10)
-ProBoards TOS - Stay Active! If you do not post in one month without notification, via the Extended Absence board or contacting one of the admins, your character will be deleted. If your character is deleted, you may be able to resurrect said character upon admin approval.
- This is an intermediate site. We require each in character post to be at least two paragraphs. (6 sentences = 1 paragraph.) That being said we expect readable, grammatically correct, English posts. We all have days where we are without muse to post or merely have difficulty meeting the post requirements, to avoid this and improve your posts, check out the RP Tips Board
- All posts are to be done in third person past tense.
Example:
Incorrect= I am walking to the bar for a drink.
Correct= Niko walked to the bar for a drink.
If you feel that your creative intuition is telling you that it is absolutely necessary for you to write differently than this, PM the staff and we will go over all questions and concerns. - Anything that is OOC (Out Of Character) in the IC (In Character) sections must be designated with parenthesis. ()
- The topic starter determines who is allowed in the thread and the pacing of the thread. All members must respect these standards. One of the following titles should be in the title or title description:
(Open) = any one can join.
(Character1/Character2/Character3) = the thread is only designated for the characters named.
(Character1/open) = the thread is open for anyone to join, but the content will mostly be focused on the topic starter and the character named.
Also, the password for the registration section is "newpeople", and it will be changed periodically as the admins see fit.
Thread starters must also determine if they want the thread to be fast-paced or casual, and state which in the topic description, also in parenthesis. Fast-paced means that repliers are expected to reply at least once every 2-3 days. Casual means that repliers are expected to reply at least once a week-and-a-half. Faster RPs are to be designated by the topic starter and must be cleared by an admin.
Sample new thread title: (A RP that I am planing)
"Starting Over" (Nicholas Scott/open)|(casual) - God-modding of Primary characters or any character that is played by an RPer (without permission) is not allowed. But if you have permission, please notify everyone of this in parenthesis. Using Non-playable characters (aka strangers, extras, etc) in a post is not considered god-modding and is allowed.
What is god-modding? Any and all activities that modify the game experience to give one player an advantage over another player(s) constitute cheating and it is not allowed.
All combat situations (one on one or in group combat) must be planed and both players must agree on the result of the attack/events in the attack. Combat RPs must help move along or end a RP, no Combat RPs will happen unless these requirements have been met. Any random attack on an original character that has not been agreed upon or planned is not allowed. Attacks on Random people (Strangers, Extras, characters needed for posts) is accepted. You must change the color of the text while posting as character to be attacked, and stats must be posted for the NPC character.

God Modding in a combat situation is defined as: when in combat a character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. When a character cannot be hit by an attackers attack, and can attack no matter the RP situation. An example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other that other RP'ers try.
This form of God modding in combat is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate administrative action. - Word Count: (*Added 07-01-10) There is currently no limit on in character content. In any changes to this policy occur all Members will be notified of the change.
- Images: (*Added 07-01-10) As a result of the Sites Side boxes, Signature images must be no larger than 500(W)x200(H), Posted images must not Stretch the site, and any image that dose stretch the sites boarders must be modded or replaced with the corrected images.
