Military Tribunal #8829_S-C: Final
Case Number: 9920- Military Proceedings
"13th of Caprica, in the Year 8829 of the Second Exodus, On this day we finalize the partnership between the two sovereign nations of the People of Scorpia and the People of Caprica as well as the Governments that represent them and the Warriors that defend them...."
- "....Why do all these big wig lawyers and judges sound so uptight...you would think they were scribes for Jupiter with all the boring details....Frak me....There will me no Tattoo's on the Face, above the Collar, or on the hands or feet... Why don't you say no Taurons Allowed.....Mars know we could use their Pilots...."
The Lance Corporal Stone was standing outside the Court room in the smoking section of the lobby with his superior, Colonel Powers of the Scorpia Marine corps. The Snow was frosting up the windows that lead to the view of Librian City, it was the dead of winter and yet the men in uniform didn't show any sign of weakness. Their training had left them strong and numb to any conditions, that's why the Capricans needed them.
They had witnessed it them selves, The Caprican delegates negotiation with the Generals and Admiralty of Scorpia deciding what would be the best plan of action to try and solve the problems with the Cylon. But no matter what they decided it always seemed that one group was loosing out, and in the Corps, you are onloy as strong as your weakest link. The Tribunal had placed strong rules on the new "Colonial Fleet", making it stricter and tougher on new recruits, putting an emphasis on unity and combat effectiveness. It was as it they were trying to build an all new form a Military, one that could maintain and produce strong leaders and warriors.
- "...well you got to give it to them...If this works we will not only have the entire Picon Navy at our disposal, but an entire new Ground fighting force that can really take it to them. You have to think about the future Alex its going to be an entirely new Marine Corps....and your on the Ground floor....on the Front lines of an incredible opportunity...who cares if a few Taurons get left out..."
That was the thing, it was that attitude that get them into this situation with the Cylons. The attitude of "who cares if someone gets hurt" that was what lead the Cylons to rebel, the lack of unity and lack of respect for each other. The Corporal was getting to caught up in his won emotions and quickly snapped back to the cold Libran air, and back to his mission.
