The Busy streets of Taurons capitol city was enough to make anyone's head spin, but today it was calmer, as if all the world's troubles stopped. Trying to keep her head focused on the day ahead, Tokari slowly took her seat and ordered her usual, Tauron Grey Tea with honey. As a Classic car drove by, and the sound of the streets echoed it was reminiscent of old Tauron and the old Wars.
It was hard to try and picture Tauron at a peaceful time. For as long as Tokari had been alive there was constant violence and upheaval. Her Childhood was one of fame and glamor, but it was also one of secrets and hidden alliances.
Like all Taurons During the Uprising the Scotteros family had to choose a side to fight for. Some chose to side with the Ha La Tha Rebels, while others aligned with the Heracs, and soon the lines were drawn.
The Scotteros family had already established itself as middle class farmers with the head of the family making the first of many films approved by the government for distribution. That alone was enough to make the family has traitors to the soil, and made them outcasts on their own land.
The other Farmers that neighbored with the Scotteros family were loyal to the Ha La Tha and were always persecuted by the military force of the Tauron Government as well as the secret police of the Herac army. So to see the Scotteros Family continue to succeed and gain wealth and fame only grew the seeds of discontent, and soon that seed was ready to be harvested.

16 years since the horrors of the Tauron uprising and still the wounds had not yet healed over. It was as if the fighting never stopped, just went below the soil and became something more horrible than previously thought. As the years passed the Heraclitus Military had became one of the leading military forces on Tauron, helping to lead the Tauron Government's plan to wipe out all Ha La Tha Insurgents. The Government had become plagued with corruption and the outside influences of the Virgon Corporations had all but formed a shadow government to control Tauron and its Tylium resources.
It was a bleak time in Tauron's history and with the continued fighting it was unclear if the planet would ever find peace its most loyal citizens were fighting to create.
---------------------
The weather outside was hot and dry as normal, but for the native Tauron it was nothing but another beautiful day for socializing or shopping in the market. It was an open day for movement, and the Military Patrols had cleared the market and outlying areas for civilian use. Everyone was passing by in their dark business suites and sun dresses, all wearing the mark that the Herac soldiers had given them. The Marks were to inform the military patrols that the bearer of the mark was loyal to the Tauron Government, and had denounced the Ha La Tha Teachings. The Mark itself was a simple design that resembled many of the Traditional inking that most of the old Leaders wore. Some thought it was beautiful, while other hated it with a passion. It was as if it was a mockery of their heritage or a gross misuse of classic symbolism. Although the Heracs were just as Tauron as their brothers loyal to the soil , they were seen as outsiders, or The one's we do not see.
"Now We must remember not to waste any time. The Heracs opened the marked and Gods know when they are going to close it down again, or Jupiter forbid another shootout breaks. We Don't want to see anyone's return on this lovely day." Joanne Scotteros lead her two young children, Nicholas and Tokari through the crowded sidewalks as she made her rounds for the day. Just a few things for the business side operating a young winery, A case of Glass Bottles with labels, some new wash clothes and a variety of household supplies such as cleaners and solvents. Normally Joanne would go on her errands on her own, but today was different. It was the celebration of her husband Marcus's Film release and the film would prove to be one of his greatest works and would soon take the entire family to the height of fame. But in order to woo the producers and other socialites of the film industry, the Scotteros family would have to prove their New Money status.
After gathering the needed supplies for the party Joanne used a payphone on the corner as Nicholas and Tokari watched over the bags of supplies while playing a game of jax. Joanne called for a friend of the family and now part time servant due to the loss of his farm. Santo Gilvarian was a young farmer at the time, and would latter become the lead costume director on many of Marcus's later films and would later move to Caprica soon after Marcus's death. But for now Santo was a young man with a young family to support, and after the Heracs burned down most of his crops he was trying anything to make some extra cubits."...yes Santo, Dear, if you can bring the car to meet us in the market. By the looks of things my peepers bought more than my arms can carry, and its just me and the little ones so it would be a pip if you can pick us up. Well be having lunch at Savanna's Cafe so you can see your sweet heart while we all have lunch. Now how dose that sound Santo? be here in 10?" As Joanne carried on her conversation the shadow of a Herac marine crept up on the children as they played. The heavy steps of the brutish man and the snapp of his boots were enough to snapp Joanne back to her surroundings. Before she could say goodbye she hung up the phone and approached the armed man. As she walked up she began pulling through her pocket book to produce her ID's. "Stay Calm...I'll handle this...Children Go an Wait for Santo in the Cafe..." Nicholas Gathered is younger sister and neglectfully began to walk away from his mother as the imposng shadow of the man draped over him. The Marine Towered over the young man, but still the hate in the boy's eyes could be felt. As Joanne nodded her head to let her son know everything was going to be alright the Marine began to question her."Your Children don't have the Mark, and for that matter where is your mark? Your not another Dirt Eater are you? I would hate to see a looker like you be brought in for further questioning. Now Let's see it, let's see your mark if you have one...." The Marine Moved Closer pulling back his rifle as he reached out for Joanne, but before he could grasp her she quickly snapped his hand down and stepped into the mans sweaty face. The Small woman was shorter than the man but her attitude and bravery was like that of every proud Tauron Woman, ample and something to be afraid of. It was as if she was standing taller than the man as she began to speak, her attitude and bravery leading the way."....you know you Herac Boys are real smooth with the ladies...If you had any respect you would be a farmer, not some shock troop in a fools Army. I have my mark, and if you have to see it's right here on my LEFT Arm..." Joanne Rolled up her sleeve to display the mark just above her wrist. Satisfied the Marine Smiled and then looked at Nicholas as he peeked around the corner from his hiding place where him and his sister watched the entire scene play out. "...amd your children...where are their marks??"
