Taken At the Former Caprica Industrial Center
Taken At the Former Caprica Industrial Center
Caprica Nightly News
with
Nancy Powers and Emmit Brown
The streets are empty and nothing seems able to bring them back to their former glory. The people that once called this thriving city center home, are now dead or dying, or worse, possible captives to horrible circumstances. The Situation in the industrial center is indeed destroying the idea of peace. With Military personal flooding the surrounding area searching for survivors of the Cylon air raids, while securing the area for evacuation efforts. While the bulk of the Cylon forces have been pushed back from the factories that had been constructing Cylon Warriors, a few remaining ship yards are still functional, which sparks the question. How log until this War makes it to space?
Here at the Caprica Times, we have seen a significant drop off in the activity on the streets of Caprica City. The Issuing of a Colony wide census despite a war time atmosphere, only seemed to push the citizens farther and farther away, and despite their best efforts the Caprican Government is losing the hearts and minds of their citizens, Nancy...
It is True, the Caprican times is not alone in this situation. We have lost many reporters due to abductions and random attacks here at our main building in Downtown Caprica City, but we will remain dedicated to serving the good people of Caprica, as well as the other Colonies. We will not fold due to terrorism, anarchy on the streets, or threat of war. The people of Caprica deserve to remain informed on their Colony, and The Caprican Times will continue to deliver. But this is not the case for many business and organizations on Caprica. The Caprica Times reports that 80% of the Caprican work force has taken a hit due to the ongoing fighting in the industrial Center. Most blame the fact that citizens do not want to risk leaving their homes. That merely walking the streets of Caprica have turned from a delightful experience, to a frightful tour down war torn streets. Although the Federalized Police departments have made it clear that the streets are safe during the day, they have made no statements regarding the safety of citizens during the evening hours.
Early reports from the military attack on the industrial center state that the first of many high profile targets were successfully destroyed after the catastrophic attack on Atlas Arena, resulting in the deaths of 10,000 innocent civilians, including Military and police officials. The Resulting aerial battle over Delphi and parts of Caprica City left civilians without power for a record of 5 nights as attempts were made to hide locations of populated areas from the Cylons. The Caprican Air force reports that their first responders were able to destroy the primary Cylon force that was comprised of modified transport ships with ease, despite taking heavy losses as a result of Cylon Cyber warfare. But the Military Brass ensures us that our Airspace is clear, for now.
In Local News, local grounds keeper and known Ha La Tha Captain Nicholas Scott, son of famed Tauron Director, Marcus Scotteros, is wanted for questioning for the string of recent electronic break in's on Caprican Government networks. Scott, is reportedly the leader of the Tauron Crime network based in Delphi City, but has had contacts within the high ranking STO command. It is unknown if Scott is supporting the Cylon movement, but any information on his current location is needed for his arrest. A List of known assosiates can be seen at the bottom of your screen....
On Tauron Today, the leaders of the Anti Cylon Commission coordinated a protest that lead to the criminalization of the former underground Cylon trade. The Tauron government signed the piece of legislature that would ban the commercial and underground trade of Cylon Combat, construction, and home Models on the Colony. Although the Colony of Tauron has been cleared of official Cylon units, many illegally traded units still operate under the command of radical tribal leaders and criminal organizations. The Tauron military has begun making sweeps of known Cylon sympathizer locations and have made some serious ground in their attempts to prevent a Cylon uprising on their colony.
A New Form of Ha La Tha Gang member
can be found adding fuel to the fire of the
STO Gang wars still raging on the streets of Caprica City
The Continued fighting between STO extremists and Ha La Tha Criminals has reached an all time high with the adaptation of new tactics on both sides. A New breed of street fighter has emerged as the result of the war time environment playing out daily. These new fighters are more bloodthirsty than ever, with deaths and gun battles nearly everyday in the former little Tauron sector. Riot Patrols have made little impact on the now 2 year long gang war, and have made it impossible for citizens to return to their daily lives. Police Commissioner, Gordon Black, has eluded to the fact that the military may be called in to stop the fighting, but with the current situation with the Cylons, it is merely speculative.
