The room had finally become still when the buzz of a Cell phone alarm clock broke the early morning stillness. It was only 5am but the bright Tauron sun was already making its way over the bay and the master bed room had a ghostly blue glow. On the floor were a combination of men’s designer clothes and women’s high heels that lead to the tossed comforter and still sleeping couple. Tokari was trying her best to ignore the buzz of the phone, and hit the snooze button one more time in an attempt to steal a few more moments of rest.
On the opposite of the bed laid Tokari’s husband to be, and the next in line to take the position of Tauron’s Prime minister. He was to be the puppet leader of both the now criminalized Ha’La’Tha organization and his father, another prominent member of Tauron’s Parliament. In a Bold move Tokari had arranged their marriage by making a proposal to his father, agreeing to join their family’s wealth and status in the Tauron society. With the death of her father and no male siblings willing to take on the role of head of the family, Tokari was forced into a special role of power. With her Mother now remarried Tokari was the sole possessor of her father’s assets and was responsible for his multi-billion cubit film studio. She was the head of her family and by Proposing to a male she was able to keep her father’s name as well as take on her new husband’s name, and all the status it had with it.
Tokari was now ready to take on the busy day ahead of her, and stretched as she quietly climbed out of bed. She paid no attention to her fiancés still body, and walked to the bathroom to start the water for her shower. She remained still and silent as the steam from the shower began to slowly fill the room. Her eyes fixated on her reflection in the mirror, she began to ball her hands into fists causing her knuckles to turn white as she clenched them tight. Tokari pulled her cell phone close before violently slamming her right fist into the marble counter. Then just as random as her sudden outburst Tokari let out a horrifying scream, making sure that her servants throughout the mansion could hear her.
Tokari rushed over to her fiancés side and quickly began to play the part of the hysterical grieving wife as she called emergency services on her cell phone. As she waited for an answer her fiancés blood was now turning hard and a deep burgundy color as a result of the many hours since the man had bled out. On his side table was a mix of prescripted muscle relaxers and powerful sedatives, as well as the silver dagger used to slit his wrist. As the voice on the other side of the phone answered Tokari began to hysterically fight back her tears as she described the situation.
The Death of her fiancé was clearly a suicide, but his death would leave more questions than answers. Why would a young, soon to be married parliament member want to kill himself? But more to the point was this even a suicide? Was this an attack by the Ha’La’Tha’ or an attack from one of the other enemy factions? The facts of his death were clear but left just enough room for speculation and interpretation. But none would suspect the true cause of his death. As the Medics took the body away and the authorities had finished their investigation Tokari looked over the three foot wide pool of dry blood. Wiping her tears from her face she dialed out on her cell phone once again. The voice on the other end spoke in Tauron, and without giving the voice a chance to finish their greeting Tokari spoke in a cold distant voice in the Tuaron language,
“..Things have changed; the arrangement is off…I want more than we agreed…NO objections…”

As the Day continued it was hard to do anything, especially to try and carry on after such a horrible discovery. It was like Tokari was in a dream that she couldn't wake up from, and it seemed that no one was going to be on her side. The Tauron Police had a bad reputation of loosing evidence and prosecuting everyone that had something to do with a crime. So it was clear that she was going to be the main suspect in the death of her fiance, unless the money she paid found its rightful owners.
Sitting on the steps of her back porch Tokari Picked up her phone and dialed 77 to get to the front desk of her home that had now become a working office of sorts for the family business. Dragging her Toes along the warm sand as the sea birds from the bay squawked as they hunted for their meals. The phone rang for a short while before it was picked up by the secretary on duty.
-(In Tauron) "..Chantelle can you connect me to the Global Defense Department, I need to speak with Agent Roy Till....Thanks...."
-(In Tauron) "yes, mam. The Agent left his card when he left, we have the number on file. I will connect you shortly...was there anything else you need mam?"
-"..no Chantelle I'm fine, I just need to get everything in order...get my life in order...."
-"Very Well Mam, I'll connect you now. Let us know if there is anything you need...."
As the Phone disconnected and then re-connected to the GDD Tokari let her thoughts drift as she waited for someone to pick up on the other line. Her thoughts drifted to earlier that week, when her husband to be was still among the living, back to before she made a deal with his father for his life.
It was a hard deal to make, to take another life for power and wealth, but when she looked back on everything it was the only she was ever good at. All the others were just for cash or a cheap thrill, but now that Tokari has stepped from the casual murderess to the feared serial killer of Tauron Parliament members. It was a big but inevitable step for her to take. Now she will be among the ranks of the Ha la tha Soldiers, or the murdering STO members, she was a criminal, she was a murderer.
As the Phone Connected and Agent Till picked up on the other side, Tokari prepared herself to play the part of the grieving wife craving justice.
